Cooling System

The cooling system is extremely important for your vehicle as it removes excess heat from the engine. It’s made up of the radiator, radiator hoses, coolant, thermostat, cooling fan and water pump, which is usually driven by a drive belt or engines timing belt.

All these parts require regular inspection, focusing on signs of corrosion, bearing operation, seal leaks, coolant quality and checking the hoses for brittleness or cracking.

How do I know if my car cooling system is failing?

  • Coolant losing its properties, allowing water to corrode your engines internal parts
  • Water pumps failing
  • Radiator leaking
  • Leaking hose/s

These failures can lead to serious engine problems. Look out for the warning signs, such as your vehicle overheating or puddles of cooling fluid under the vehicle.
