Registration Inspections (eSafety checks)

Cherry Service Centre is an Authorised Inspection Scheme Station for Registration
Inspections (also known as Vehicle Safety Check / eSafety checks / Pink Slip inspections) that verify your vehicle is safe and ready for the road.

Most light vehicles more than five years old will require an eSafety check before they can be registered in NSW. Your registration renewal papers will state whether an inspection is required.

A Registration Inspection covers the major safety-related issues and includes wheels, tyres, steering, suspension, brakes, seats including seat belts, lights, the windscreen including wipers and washers, windows, overall car structure and other safety-related components on the body, chassis and engine.

When your vehicle passes the eSafety check, we send the report to RMS electronically.

If the vehicle fails, you’ll be issued with a Repairs Needed report, and you have 14 days to have the work done. Once all repairs are carried out, a follow-up check is required. You don’t need to make an appointment, simply return the vehicle and we can assess on the spot.

Please be advised that after 14 days of a failed report, the report will expire and you’ll have to pay for a new eSafety check.
